Coming into this season the team to win the XXLII Super Bowl last season wasn't even the favorite to come out of their own division in the NFC East, but after 7 wins with only 1 loss the Eli Manning and the New York Giants are looking to be the team to beat not only in their division but in the entire NFL.

By all indications, winning a Super Bowl and being named MVP of same have not impacted Eli Manning's helmet size.Neither does his headgear seem to be a heavier burden for the New York Giants' fifth-year quarterback, who will lead the NFC's best team into Lincoln Financial Field Sunday Night.

The Giants, Titans, and Eagles will likely spend this season rotating in and around the top spot in the power rankings. These clearly look like the three best teams in the NFL, and by most objective measures as well. This week, the Giants', led by Eli Manning thrashing of the Cowboys (and in a game where the passing game didn't even play all that well) gives them the edge against the undefeated Titans. But with a matchup between the Eagles and Giants set to go down this week, a blowout win could let the Eagles take over.

NY Giants (1) - Another solid outing, this time at home vs the fading Cowboys. What lies ahead for this team? They have pretty much overcome everything so far, and it’s hard to believe they won’t be playing deep into January and probably into February at this point

Eli or Ben?  Even after 4 plus years since the NFL draft initially didn’t please either Eli Manning or Ben Roethlisberger — a day filled with drama, hurt feelings, veiled warnings, a hurried-up trade and damaged egos — things couldn’t have worked out much better for both. Or for their two division-leading teams, each of whom has since won a Super Bowl.  You obviously know whow we favor.  The blue #10 jersey.   How long until the is controversy is settled?  It might take another Super Bowl ring.

Eli Manning probably thought he moved beyond all of the side-by-side comparisons when he orchestrated perhaps the greatest drive in Giants history in Super Bowl XLII. But he's going head to head with Ben Roethlisberger this week in Pittsburgh. And both teams have 5-1 records.
