We see a different Eli Manning this year. He won't admit it though. He says he's the same. With the naked eye he may look the same, but he does have a Super Bowl MVP award. And look at his efficiency numbers when you get a chance.

Sporting News has Eli Manning as the Pro Athlete of the Year!! Hooray and Congrats!! Also, good luck tonight against the Carolina Panthers on NBC. It will be interesting to see how the New York Giants Coach, Tom Coughlin manages the game. We know he'll be shooting for the bye. I'm sure he knows some of his key players could use the rest especially Brandon Jacobs.

We would like to see the NY Giants get on a roll before the playoffs. It seemed last year they really benefited from the momentum. Let's hope if they do win out that they stay focused and ready. Bye weeks can be a doubled edged sword.

Ok, back to the couch wearing my Eli Manning Jersey.

I’ve lost some respect for the “Pro Bowl” the past few years because it seems that certain players are voted in because of their popularity rather than their achievements. I know that fan voting is the main reason for that … but … come on … Brett Favre? Really? He leads the league in interceptions. How is that “Pro Bowl” worthy? I could easily get up on my soapbox and go off on a long and winding tangent detailing the numerous other “Pro Bowl” selections I disagree with (Jason Peters anyone?)

The Manning Brothers are in the 2009 Pro Bowl!! Would you have ever thought it? How about if they both make it to the "other bowl" this year. Do you agree with the selections:

NFC
Quarterback... Kurt Warner, Cardinals; Drew Brees, Saints; Eli Manning, Giants
Running Back... Adrian Peterson, Vikings; Michael Turner, Falcons; Clinton Portis, Redskins
Fullback... Mike Sellers, Redskins
Wide Receiver... Larry Fitzgerald, Cardinals; Anquan Boldin, Cardinals; Steve Smith, Panthers; Roddy White, Falcons
Tight End... Jason Witten, Cowboys; Chris Cooley, Redskins
Tackle... Jordan Gross, Panthers; Walter Jones, Seahawks; Chris Samuels, Redskins
Guard... Steve Hutchinson, Vikings; Chris Snee, Giants; Leonard Davis, Cowboys
Center... Andre Gurode, Cowboys; Shaun O'Hara, Giants
Defensive End... Julius Peppers, Panthers; Justin Tuck, Giants; Jared Allen, Vikings
Defensive Tackle... Kevin Williams, Vikings; Jay Ratliff, Cowboys; Pat Williams, Vikings
Outside Linebacker: DeMarcus Ware, Cowboys; Lance Briggs, Bears; Derrick Brooks, Buccaneers
Inside Linebacker: Patrick Willis, 49ers; Jon Beason, Panthers
Cornerback: Charles Woodson, Packers; Antoine Winfield, Vikings; Asante Samuel, Eagles
Safety: Nick Collins, Packers; Adrian Wilson, Cardinals; Brian Dawkins, Eagles
Punter: Jeff Feagles, Giants
Kicker: John Carney, Giants
Returner: Clifton Smith, Buccaneers
Special Teamer: Sean Morey, Cardinals

AFC
Starters Listed First
Quarterback: Peyton Manning, Colts; Brett Favre, Jets; Jay Cutler, Broncos
Running Back: Thomas Jones, Jets; Chris Johnson, Titans; Ronnie Brown, Dolphins
Fullback: Le'Ron McClain, Ravens
Wide Receiver: Andre Johnson, Texans; Brandon Marshall, Broncos; Reggie Wayne, Colts; Wes Welker, Patriots
Tight End: Tony Gonzalez, Chiefs; Antonio Gates, Chargers
Tackle: Joe Thomas, Browns; Jason Peters, Bills; Michael Roos, Titans
Guard: Alan Faneca, Jets; Kris Dielman, Chargers; Brian Waters, Chiefs
Center: Kevin Mawae, Titans; Nick Mangold, Jets
Defensive End: Mario Williams, Texans; Dwight Freeney, Colts; Robert Mathis, Colts
Defensive Tackle: Albert Haynesworth, Titans; Kris Jenkins, Jets; Shaun Rogers, Browns
Outside Linebacker: James Harrison, Steelers; Joey Porter, Dolphins; Terrell Suggs, Ravens
Inside Linebacker: Ray Lewis, Ravens; James Farrior, Steelers
Cornerback: Nnamdi Asomugha, Raiders; Cortland Finnegan, Titans; Darrelle Revis, Jets
Safety: Ed Reed, Ravens; Troy Polamalu, Steelers; Chris Hope, Titans
Punter: Shane Lechler, Raiders
Kicker: Stephen Gostkowski, Patriots
Returner: Leon Washington, Jets
Special Teamer: Brendon Ayanbadejo, Ravens

Obviously the pro bowl is jaded with the "popularity vote" which is a shame since there are a lot of players who have breakout years and don't reach the pro bowl. You know how much it would mean to that one-time pro-bowler. It could be the hightlight of his career, if they never end up on a championship caliber team.

I'm also excited because I'll be able to get an Eli Manning Pro Bowl Jersey.

At least Roddy White made the list. He sure has had one of those "breakout years". I'm doubly excited because I had him on my fantasy team.

We feel like we’ve started off many a Media Circus with a similar opening line, but here goes anyway … If there was ever a doubt the mainstream sports media cared more about off-the-field drama and “storylines” as opposed to the actual games, NBC made it crystal clear with Sunday night’s broadcast of the Cowboys and Giants from Texas Stadium. Aside from the usual 75 sideline shots of T.O., the network was sure to drum up the perceived rift between Romo/Witten and Owens. After a game in which t

Now I know why I love to listen to the Radio call of the game. NBC pointed out another example of trying to draw in the "casual fan" with the talk off the off the field junk all game. Do we even question their motives?

NBC made it apparent with Sunday night’s broadcast with Romo's Dallas Cowboys and Eli Mannings's New York Giants from Texas Stadium. How many times have you seen the love triangle shot of Tony Romo, Jason Witten and Terrell Owens. This following the circus in New York with you know who.

The best thing about the Media Blitz has to be the post game hats of Romo and Owens. Who had the nerdiest hat? Did they plan that? Is Jessica Simpson dressing Tony?
