As I have stated many times over the last few months, I am a season ticket holder of the World Champion New York Football Giants. I sit 20 rows from the field in the corner of the end zone. My uncle had these seats since I was a kid and now I have them. Over the years, you tend to look for different things at the games then what they show you on TV. A little late today, but we finally put aside enough time to get to our weekly power rankings. There are some teams finally getting a little ahead in the pack, so here we go with our week nine power rankings. NFC Top 5 —————– 1. NY Giants (1) - Another solid outing, this time at home vs the fading Cowboys. What lies ahead for this team? They have pretty much overcome everything so far, and it’s hard to believe they won’t be playing deep into January and probably into February at this point

Eli or Ben?  Even after 4 plus years since the NFL draft initially didn’t please either Eli Manning or Ben Roethlisberger — a day filled with drama, hurt feelings, veiled warnings, a hurried-up trade and damaged egos — things couldn’t have worked out much better for both. Or for their two division-leading teams, each of whom has since won a Super Bowl.  You obviously know whow we favor.  The blue #10 jersey.   How long until the is controversy is settled?  It might take another Super Bowl ring.

Eli Manning probably thought he moved beyond all of the side-by-side comparisons when he orchestrated perhaps the greatest drive in Giants history in Super Bowl XLII. But he's going head to head with Ben Roethlisberger this week in Pittsburgh. And both teams have 5-1 records.

The New York Giants are the defending Super Bowl champions led by all star Quarterback Eli Manning. Tonight the defend their title by starting the season against the Washington Redskins. How is is possible that they are not predicted to take their division, let alone second. Look at where the New York Giants are ranked. Third!! Below the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys.  We'll be breaking out our Eli Manning Jerseys tonight to help support our team to prove otherwise.

In a preseason New York match up game dominated by defense, Eli Manning and Brett Farve weren't really the major deciding factors, but they were sure the focal points.  You could tell just by the timing of the camera flashes.

Eli Manning has come into his own.  The Superbowl win last year helped him step out of Peyton's shadow, and he is gunning to make his mark as one of the top young NFL Quarterbacks.  He needs a solid year to prove to everyone that last year was not a random fluke. Read the rest of this entry »

Eli Manning hasn't played ball on TV since he was the king of the world.  The stakes aren't even close as high.  As this Detriot Lions - New York Giants game is just a preseason semi-battle.  But he really wants to set the tone for the season or at least work out the kinks.  Is the pressure greater this year?  You bet.  It's ok he's a Manning.

David Carr is looking to be the backup for Eli Manning this season on the New York Giants.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning, his big  brother Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and big papa father, former NFL quarterback Archie Manning, threw the ceremonial first toss at a Chelsea football tournament for fathers and children today.  What a great event for Fathers Day.
